Abstract

This workshop report intends to give an impression of the work at the interface between architecture and sociology. It is based on experiences gained during a guest professorship at the Faculty of Architecture at Graz University of Technology. The aim of this guest professorship was to force the collaboration of sociology and architecture. Thereby it was not so much about questions of architectural sociology, but about the implementation of sociology in architectural work and the exploration of a sociology with architectural means. Such an approach was tested in various courses, workshops, excursions and conferences. The focus here was primarily on everyday architecture and places that are usually not worth seeing.
